I love it when my playlist is on shuffle and a song comes on that makes me smile. Music can make any bad day feel better.
Favourite song of all time- Santana ft Steven Tyler - Must Feel Better
Favourite song right now - One Republic - Secrets
It seems I’ve had a rather productive day.
I meant to sit down at my laptop and try and improve some of my existing portfolio pieces but somehow this guy came out of my wacom. I quite like him…more I think I like the fact that I’ve been able to sit down and start/finish him in 1 day.
I read…ALOT. I go through comic books, graphic novels, fictional novels and all sorts at a speed that my bank account struggles to keep up with. So I get asked alot about “what I’m reading”. I’ve just finished reading ‘When God Was A Rabbit’. In all honesty, I didn’t like it. The story felt disconnected, unorganised and pretty random. The characters would be plodding along and then all of a sudden you’d get a random scene that was far too graphic’ so out of place and then back to plodding along. I was really quite disapointed since this book was quite high in the chart, I guess I should’ve known from it being on offer…
This is a Dino Cloud! I drew he months ago and really liked him but never did anything about it. So after all this time I’ve decided to give him a bit of a clean in photoshop and he’ll be featured in my portfolio. I’m hoping to feature a small series of clouds I’ve been doodling over the past few months.
This design is meant to be of a small group of school children. I’m not sure I like it but I won’t know for sure until I waste any other few hours on it.
I seem to have lost all my energy as of late so working on new pieces is becoming a real struggle…
A finished Luna.
She’s been finished for a couple of days but I didn’t think to post her for some reason. I’m really pleased with my work on her. The piece has just developed so nicely from my first stages.

SHE HAS HAIR!
Luna is finally starting to look a bit more human and I already feel quite proud of my progress. All she needs now are her legs and I can call her complete!
Just a little bit of progress on Luna since my earlier post. This is my end point for tonight. I’m not too sure I like all the creases in her top. I was trying to crease some texture but maybe in this case less is more. I’ll decide tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll be able to call her finished by Friday evening… maybe
My third year at university (studying 3D Digital Animation) was spent working on a short film called Apollo One. I worked with a very good friend of mine (shes amazing by the way) and together we developed a really strong idea and character. We ended up using a picture I’d drawn as the base for our character, Luna. However she was really simple, rushed and that was over a year ago. I’ve decided I want Luna to be a key piece in my portfolio so I’m taking the time to develope her into something a bit more sophisticated. Here’s my progress so far;
START DRAWING BURGERS PEOPLE!
SO who wants to win all this stuff?!?! I’m in the giving mood and want to give away a bunch of my merchandise *if you can call it that*

Journeys
Here’s an abstract piece I’ve been working on over the last two days. I used to do a lot of abstract pieces so I thought this would be the best way to get back into drawing.
I was a bit worried about starting this one, so getting to stage 1 was the hardest part. I worked slowly throughout and the whole thing began to feel really natural. I’m quite pleased with the end result and how good it feels to be drawing again.
